FL Statute that actually refers to Robert's Rules of Order:
ss. 482.243 Pest Control Enforcement Advisory Council.--
(3) "In conducting its meetings, the council (Pest Control Enforcement Advisory Council) shall use Robert's Rules of Order. A majority of the members of the council constitutes a quorum for all purposes, and an act by a majority of such quorum at any meeting constitutes an official act of the council. The secretary shall keep a complete record of each meeting which must show the names of members present and the actions taken. These records must be kept on file with the department, and these records and other documents about matters within the jurisdiction of the council are subject to inspection by members of the council."
Note, statutes legislating SAC do not require School Advisory Councils to use Robert's Rules. However, most bylaws do include language that instructs
SAC to use Robert's Rules when not in conflict with state statutes, district guidelines or SAC bylaws.
