The Pinellas SAC Association's primary purpose is to strengthen
Pinellas County's School Advisory Councils as effective vehicles
for continuous improvement in each school through:
1. Providing opportunities for SACs to confer, network
and cooperate with each other;
2. Providing a resource of information and support for
SACs and for the schools they represent;
3. Promoting increased local control of schools with
the Florida Legislature, the Pinellas County School Board, the
general public and other organizations..
Annual membership dues are a modest $5 and are used exclusively
for operating expenses (printing, postage and the like).
The Association is incorporated as a nonprofit corporation under
Article 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Some schools have provided these dues from school improvement funds. Your school can do that if your SAC approves the expenditure and that approval is recorded in the SAC minutes.
